Vic Chou registers marriage with Reen Yu

On Weibo last evening , Taiwanese actor Vic Chou (aka Zai Zai) announced he and actress Reen Yu have registered their marriage, and posted wefies of them showing off their rings at what appears to be a marriage license office.

“Mrs Chou is so beautiful!” he wrote on Weibo. “Yes, we’re married. Thanks to all our friends for your well-wishes.”

Afterwards, Reen shared a similar photo on Facebook along with a message that read: “Thank you for being by my side. Thanks to everyone.”

Through her manager, Reen said Vic proposed unexpectedly while they were eating at home. Vic is busy with promoting the Chinese movie Go Lala Go and filming at the same time, and the couple registered their marriage yesterday because they and their witnesses finally had a common day off.

Celeb friends of the couple sent in their congratulations, with Vic’s former fellow F4 member Vanness Wu saying, “So happy for you, and my best wishes to you!” Taiwan-based Malaysian Mandopop singer Nicholas Teo, who co-starred with Reen in the 2012 drama series Lady Maid Maid, said, “Wow! Congratulations!” Barbie Hsu, who dated Vic from 2005 to 2008, wrote, “Hope you’ll get children soon. So happy for Zai Zai.”

The couple met while co-starring in the 2009 Taiwanese drama series Black & White and dated for four years.

Asked about their plans for a banquet, Reen said through her manager that she and Vic are not considering it at the moment and will wait to see how their work schedules turn out.

Reen was recently photographed appearing a bit chubby, but her manager denied the actress was pregnant.
