Wang Leehom refutes allegations of wife ruining concert tour
The musician last went on tour three years ago
It’s been some time since Wang Leehom’s fans have seen him perform live, as his previous concert tour was held three years ago. Recent reports claimed that the musician was slated to embark on a new concert tour in the near future, but plans fell through after his wife, Lee Jinglei, was deemed to have been too demanding by the concert promoter.
He is said to have been offered a contract which would ensure that he holds at least 60 gigs within China. However, Jinglei reportedly made numerous demands as she wants her husband to be able to spend more time with their two daughters.
These demands are said to have included rehearsal timings, concert venues, transportation arrangements, guests at his concerts and more. Her detailed scrutiny reportedly caused the organisers to rethink the contract and put their plans on hold.
In response to the allegations, Leehom expressed through his agency, “These are untrue reports. Our partner for the new concert tour has been chosen and we’re currently in the midst of preparations.”
