Wang Xiaofei reveals why he married Barbie Hsu after 5 dates

Taiwanese actress Barbie Hsu’s love story with her husband, Chinese businessman Wang Xiaofei reads like something out of a story book.

Xiaofei proposed to Barbie after the couple had dated for only 20 days, and gone out for five dates. The lovebirds tied the knot 4 months after Xiaofei first proposed, in March 2011. in 2014, they welcomed their daughter, Wang Xiyue, 4, and their second child, a son, Wang Xilin, 2, in 2016.

The couple recently guested on reality show, Happiness Trio, as well, where they revealed more about their life as a married couple, with heart-to-heart talks and jokes aplenty.

As the son of successful business owners, Xiaofei shared that, unlike what the public thinks, he’s "no different from any other Beijing man”. When he was younger, due to his parents’ occupation, their family finances were not that stable. His parents were busy with their business as well, and were often absent from his life.

Thus, when he met Barbie, who came from a large family, he was immediately drawn in. Barbie had a gentle and kind-hearted personality as well, which appealed to him. “I always feel at peace and comforted whenever I’m together with her,” he shared.

As the couple has a daughter and a son together, the businessman revealed that he feels very contented with his family-of-four, saying, “I have no regrets at all. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed this journey. If I had any regrets, then I wouldn’t have such a good wife, such a good family and children.”
