Grace Chan evades the media’s probes about Kevin Cheng buying a sports car
After many speculations by the public, Hong Kong actor-singer Kevin Cheng and beauty queen-turned-actress Grace Chan admitted that they were dating earlier this month and asked the public to give them space.
It is reported that Kevin splashed more than HK$4.5 million (about S$780,000) on a new fiery red Ferrari 458 Speciale and even specially purchased a car plate number with “458” in it. He had registered the car under his company’s name and was spotted driving the car when he picked Grace up for their dinner date on June 4.
When asked about whether Kevin had taken her for a spin in his new car, Grace merely replied, “Most guys like cars. I know that he saved up a lot before he bought this car and it’s completely normal to buy something for yourself. The most important thing is that he’s happy!”
She also seemed quite evasive in her response: “I’m not very familiar with cars in general, but Kevin really likes cars and is very happy to take his friends for rides!”
Grace continued to say that she “would probably not” take his car for a drive as she is “not used to the streets of Hong Kong”.
