Taiwanese singer-actor Wilber Pan first broke into the industry at the age of 21 as a host, before delving into acting and singing.

With hit songs like ‘Gecko Stroll’, ‘Pass Me The Mic’, ‘Adoration to Happiness, and ‘Bu De Bu Ai’ under his belt, as well as a nod of acknowledgement from the Golden Bell Awards in the form of a Best Actor award, Wilber has cemented himself as one of the better-known singer-actors in the industry today.

As his good friends and Taiwanese entertainers Blackie Chen and Jason Tang have entered their next phase in life – getting married and having kids – Wilber is, naturally, bombarded by “when will it be your turn?” questions about his plans to settle down.

During an interview with Toggle after his performance at the SPD Charity Show 2017, the 36-year-old let on he “does feel a little lonely sometimes.”

“My younger brother has a daughter as well, and she’s really cute. I want to experience the feeling of having children as well,” he shared.

But, the actor, who became a “temporary father” to a boisterous 6-year-old boy for reality show Charming Daddy in 2015, shared that the experience has changed him - for the worse.

“Now, I don’t want to have children at all,” he laughed. “They’re too mischievous. I’ll put [thoughts of starting a family] aside for now and concentrate on my new album, which is slated to release in May this year.”

The 36-year-old, who was previously romantically linked to a heiress and Hong Kong singer-actress Charlene Choi, one half of popular girlgroup Twins, declined to reveal how long he has been single for. He’s known for being fiercely private about his love life so much so that even his good friends have no clue if he’s single or attached.

“I don’t know how to answer, nor do I know how to tell you [how long I’ve been single],” he chuckled, successfully skirting the question about his love life.

“They [Blackie and Jason] have always been very concerned for me, but I wouldn’t really share much with them. They always call me a bad friend,” Wilber said, adding that he’d only go public with a relationship when they decide to tie the knot.
