Yang Mi denies missing daughter’s graduation ceremony

Chinese actress Yang Mi, who tied the knot with Hong Kong singer-actor Hawick Lau in 2014, is often plagued by rumours of marriage woes and divorce. The couple’s only daughter, nicknamed Xiao Nuo Mi, 2, is raised by Hawick’s parents in Hong Kong, as both parents are currently focusing on their careers in China.

Recently, it was reported that Xiao Nuo Mi’s preschool graduation ceremony was held in July, but both Hawick and Yang Mi was nowhere to be seen. Instead, Hawick’s parents attended the ceremony on their behalf and recorded the event with a video camera.

According to the reports, Hawick’s parents make sure to personally send Xiao Nuo Mi to school every day. Hawick occasionally sends her to school whenever he’s in Hong Kong as well. However, Yang Mi has never been spotted sending Xiao Nuo Mi to school.

When asked to comment on the reports, Yang Mi’s agency denied the allegations, as 2-year-old Xiao Nuo Mi is far too young to be attending preschool.

The family-of-three was last seen together during Xiao Nuo Mi’s birthday earlier this year.
