Chinese actresses and Eternal Love (aka Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms) co-stars Yang Mi and Dilraba Dilmurat were said to be on bad terms after rumours surfaced that the latter had plans to leave Yang Mi’s company, Jaywalk Studios, to set up her own work studio.

Reports by Chinese media said that Dilraba intended to leave due to disagreements with Yang Mi. She was said to have registered two work studios in June under her name, at the Shanghai Cultural Media Center and the Shanghai film and television culture studio.

Fan sites of the pair were also seen throwing accusations at one another on social media over the weekend. Fans of Dilraba said that Yang Mi’s company could only get this far due to the money brought in by Dilraba, while fans of Yang Mi mentioned that Dilraba would not not have gotten this far without Yang Mi’s guidance and mentoring.

However, Jaywalk Studios has since stepped out and refuted these claims.

“The relationship between the artistes of the company are very good. Creating a separate work studio for Dilraba has always been a plan of our company and we were just waiting till we had the appropriate funds for the finance taxes,” they said.

Dilraba’s popularity rose after she starred in the Chinese television programme Keep Running, and she most recently found fame with Eternal Love, a show produced by Jaywalk Studios.
