Yoga Lin, Jam Hsiao work on same project again after 11 years

Taiwanese singers Yoga Lin and Jam Hsiao, who are currently guesting together on the Taiwanese singing reality show, Jungle Voice as judges, sure have a lot in common.

The two singers both got their big breaks as contestants on the same singing reality show, One Million Star. 11 years later, the duo has now returned to their roots, this time, as judges instead of contestants.

During their respective interviews, both Jam and Yoga reminisced about their time spent on the show. At the time, Yoga was considered one of the front-runners, and was viewed as a bona-fide celebrity in the eyes of the public. However, he did not let his fame get to his head, remarking that he was just a contestant that “happened to be more popular”.

The singer also shared that everyone was particularly nervous during the PK rounds, revealing his first encounter with Jam. At that time, Jam was practicing his song in a small room backstage and a crowd had gathered outside the door to hear him sing. As everyone listened to Jam hitting his high notes, their hearts trembled in fear at the thought of facing such a formidable contestant.

However, the two rarely interacted with each other after the show, with Jam dubbing his relationship with Yoga as “familiar strangers”. Finally, at an awards ceremony show a few years ago, the duo crossed paths once again, and finally exchanged their contact details.

Yoga also echoed Jam’s sentiments, saying, “After not meeting for ten years, the feeling that we get when we work together is nothing short of incredible".
