Zhang Ziyi is pregnant with her second child

Zhang Ziyi and her rocker husband, Wang Feng, are expecting their second child.

The actress made the announcement yesterday (Oct 28) on her Weibo account, sharing that she is currently 30 weeks pregnant.

The 40-year-old, who is the jury president of the 32nd Tokyo International Film Festival happening this week, wrote that she will be presiding over the deliberations with a new status, as an expectant mother.

“Today, I’m here as a conscientious and meticulous mum-to-be, who insists on continuing to work. I’m currently 30 weeks pregnant and weighing 116 pounds (about 52.6 kg), which will continue to rise. These two identities are a source of endless pride for me! Grateful for everyone’s continuous care and support,” she wrote in her post.

Rumours that the actress was pregnant with her second child had begun to spread as early as April this year. During her time on the reality show Viva La Romance 2 with Wang Feng, Ziyi had not been shy about her desire for a son as well.

Ziyi and Wang Feng tied the knot in 2015 and have a three-year-old daughter, nicknamed Xing Xing, together. Wang Feng also has two daughters from his previous relationships, 14-year-old Apple Wang and seven-year-old Wang Jingyi.
