Zhang Ziyi reportedly gives birth in the US

Chinese actress Zhang Ziyi, 36, has reportedly given birth to a boy in the US.

According to Chinese media, the news was leaked by an employee at a local confinement centre, who said the actress delivered her baby earlier than her December 20 due date. This would be the third child of Ziyi’s fiance, Chinese rock musician Wang Feng, 44.

Ziyi denied the news on her Weibo account on Saturday. The actress has never officially announced she was pregnant.

The couple became engaged in February after Wang Feng proposed during her elaborate birthday party, and were said to have registered their marriage in Hong Kong in May.

The actress’s last official public appearance was on August 20, after which she reportedly headed to Los Angeles to await delivery. She and Wang Feng were seen out together in Las Vegas in late November.
