4 things that brought A Little Happiness at Hebe Tien’s S’pore gig

We recount the highlights of the S.H.E songbird’s first full-scale solo concert in town

4 things that brought A Little Happiness at Hebe Tien’s S’pore gig

Four months after dropping by our sunny shores with Selina Jen and Ella Chen for the Forever Stars concert in November, S.H.E’s youngest member Hebe Tien returned once again to the Singapore Indoor Stadium last night – this time, without her trio mates in tow – for her “IF” World Tour stop.

For over two hours, the 32-year-old performed 30 songs (which is pretty much her entire solo discography since 2010) for a visibly and audibly excited audience. While there were celebrities such as her label mate Jesseca Liu, Jesseca’s rumoured beau Jeremy Chan, Romeo Tan, Bonnie Loo and Mavis Hee in attendance, yesterday’s spotlight was solely on Hebe as she blazed through the Lion City leg of her very first large-scale solo gig since debuting in 2001.

The support for the songbird’s one-woman venture has been nothing short of overwhelming. The tour’s opening concert, held in December 2014 at the Taipei Arena, sold out all 22,000 tickets within just 10 minutes, and Singapore has been just as welcoming: additional tickets had to be added at the last minute after the initial 8,000 were completely snapped up.

If you missed the concert (hopefully she’ll be back again soon!) or simply wish to relive the event, read on as we recap four things from the show that surely brought – to borrow from the title of one of Hebe’s biggest hit singles – “A Little Happiness” to everyone:
