In line with their recent celebrations to commemorate the company’s 50th anniversary, Hong Kong television station TVB released photos of its 2017 artiste and production calendar, giving fans a sneak peek of the nine new dramas to expect next year, along with its cast.

After the release of the photos, rumours of Kevin Cheng and Bosco Wong leaving TVB were debunked (Michael Tse previously confirmed that Kevin will leave TVB in October, and Bosco was said to be have intentions of leaving) and it was clear that the both of them will be starring in at least one drama each in 2017.

Bosco will be starring alongside Ha Yu for the third installment of drama Heart And Greed, whereas Kevin will be starring alongside Kristal Tin for drama Destination Nowhere.

Judging by the posters, fans and media predicted that it might be Most Improved TVB Artiste, Ali Lee’s year, as she will be starring in three out of nine dramas, one more than TVB TV Queens Kristal Tin and Nancy Wu.

Unfortunately, recipient of Favourite TVB Actor award, Ruco Chan might not be appearing much on television next year as he only managed to land one out of the nine dramas, comparably less to other male artistes such as Moses Chan and Vincent Wong, who will be starring in two dramas each.

Fans are looking forward to Wong Cho-lam’s comeback to Hong Kong’s entertainment scene after working in the Mainland in recent years as he will be starring alongside Roger Kwok in comedy drama, Oh My Grad.

As TVB turns 50, it will also mark veteran actress Liza Wang’s 50th year in showbiz, since her debut. To commemorate Liza’s contributions to TVB over the years, she posed with eight promising young male TVB actors as the center of attention in the special photoshoot for her exclusive poster.
