Three months after the soft launch of PHANTACi's first overseas boutique at Orchard Gateway, the Taiwanese streetwear label finally had its grand opening yesterday, attended by none other than its co-founder and creative director, Mandopop superstar Jay Chou himself.

Here in town for his "The Invincible" concert tour tonight, the 37-year-old dropped by in a simple black T-shirt that flaunted his love for our Little Red Dot, with the initials "SG" and the iconic Merlion printed in gold behind a white PHANTACi logo.

According to Lee Teng, who was the first to bring PHANTACi to local shoppers when his own clothing label Ground Zero hosted a pop-up store last year, the shirt was specially designed for Singapore and only 92 pieces are available, matching perfectly with the store's official opening date, September (9) 2. He also revealed that fans can look forward to more great collaborations and activities coming up, as PHANTACi is celebrating its tenth anniversary this year.

However, releasing a line of children's wear is not in the cards, despite the fact that Jay is now a father to one-year-old Hathaway with wife Hannah Quinlivan (both of whom were nowhere to be seen at the event). "I have not thought so far ahead," Jay said with a laugh during a brief Q&A session on stage. "But when I have time, I do pick her outfits for her - I can also be a stylist!"
