Actors Lee Joon Ki, Lee Ji Eun (IU), Kang Ha Neul, Hong Jong Hyun, Byun Baek Hyun (from EXO), Nam Joo Hyuk, Kim Ji Soo, Yoon Sunwoo, Girls' Generation Seohyun and Kang Hanna at the presentation of TV series "Scarlet Heart: Ryeo"
Lead actor Lee Joon Ki. who plays the 4th prince in the adapted drama series, revealed that he had been worried at first but eventually found it easy to focus on his role thanks to IU’s excellent acting skills and response. EXO's Byun Baekhyun was nervous about playing in a history drama but he marveled at the enthusiastic performance of the senior actors. Director Kim Kyu Tae said he had decided to use Kang Haneul from the beginning because he is a handsome actor with sexy eyes and delicate and sincere acting skills.
As Nam Joo Hyuk and Seohyun play a couple in the drama, which is another focus of the plot, Joo-hyuk admitted that he had been very happy to work with such a "beautiful sister" while Seohyun said, "The other members of Girls’ Generation all envy me for being able to collaborate with so many stars. I was a junior in acting but Joohyuk is a gentleman and helped me a lot during filming."
