Rainie Yang once got so angry, she broke a CD in half
What could have set her off?
Rainie Yang, who started Zumba classes a few years ago, got “promoted” to become an instructor when she invited 30 lucky fans to dance with her in Taipei yesterday (Dec 18).
The event brought back memories for the 35-year-old singer, who took ballet lessons for 11 years and would sometimes perform or choreograph dances for school celebrations. “Once, we were practising for an upcoming performance, but two of the dancers were not being serious and that slowed down our progress,” she recalled.
Upon realising that gentle persuasion was not enough to get them to stop mucking about, Rainie lost her temper, broke a CD in half right in front of them, and stormed out of the room. “I think they probably hated me after that, but at least they became serious, and we ended up putting on a perfect performance!”
Rainie then added that the rest of the dancers were very serious, and that those two were merely bad apples.
