Sharon Chan to Grace Chan: Tell me when you’re getting married!

Now that the relationship revelation is over and done with, the happy couple has another problem to face: being hounded about marriage plans. In June, Grace was spotted with a band on her ring finger, sparking buzz of a proposal that was soon debunked by the actress herself.

But it seems reporters aren’t the only ones eager to find out when wedding bells will ring for Grace and Kevin: fellow TVB screen siren Sharon Chan, whom we interviewed together with Grace, openly requested for the latter to inform her as soon as Kevin has popped the question.

“If you’re really going to get married you have to let me know!” she exclaimed, to which Grace responded, “Then you must let me know when you’re pregnant!”

We don’t think Grace will be waiting long for that update. Sharon, who recently tied the knot in October, revealed that she is actively planning for children by whittling down her workload, which, in addition to filming and modelling, includes her cookie business Blesscuit.

“Right now, I feel physically and emotionally ready for a baby,” said the 36-year-old. “But it takes up a lot of time so I’m not taking on so many projects.”

And she predicts she will continue being selective with work after a little one does arrive. “Some mothers can give up everything for their kids, but if you told me to stop filming (to focus on my child), I’d get bored! I hope to be able to do both.”

Ruco is no stranger to dating rumours, and the latest “lucky” lady to be linked to the handsome 38-year-old is his Captain of Destiny co-star Mandy Wong. According to reports, the twosome were photographed “chatting intimately” in a car.

We now have an explanation directly from the man himself: “Mandy and I are just friends and colleagues. That day (when the photo was taken), I didn’t drive, so I hitched a ride with her. I’ve always said that when I get into a relationship, I will talk about it.”

He continued, “I don’t care when gossip hurts me, but I draw the line when it affects those around me. For me, as long as I look good in the picture, whatever is written doesn’t matter because it’s probably not true. The photo is the real enemy. (laughs)”

While Grace and Sharon gush about love, on the other end of the spectrum is Lawrence Ng, who divorced Chinese actress Shi Yang Zi late last year. However, the veteran thespian maintained that he and his ex-wife are not on bad terms. In fact, they recently went on an overseas trip with their 6-year-old daughter Xi Er.

“We still get along and will go out together,” he said. “We want to give our daughter the feeling of having a complete family. Her happiness is the most important.”

As Xi Er is living in China while Lawrence is still based in Hong Kong, he only gets to see her when she is having her school holidays and when he is not busy with filming. “I would love for her to come live with me, but I think it’s more suitable for her to be in China.”
