Shawn Yue on "Mad World": It hurts to look back
Shawn Yue and Wong Chun, the winner for Best New Director at the Golden Horse Awards, appeared together to promote the premiere of their movie "Mad World"
(Hong Kong December 6, 2016) Shawn Yue and Wong Chun, the winner for Best New Director at the Golden Horse Awards, appeared together to promote the premiere of their movie "Mad World".
Miriam Yeung and director Pang Hocheung also arrived to show their support, but Shawn teased that Yeung came simply because she wanted to see this movie and he was not used to inviting friends to see his own movies.
Previously, Elaine Jin, the winner of Best Supporting Actress, revealed that she had actually hit Shawn hard in the movie. When asked about this scene, Shawn joked, "It hurts to look back at it." He thought it was difficult because the movie was filmed for 16 consecutive days at a low cost. When asked if he had collected his remuneration, he revealed that he worked for "zero payment" but one must not care about money too much.
When asked to confirm his relationship as a picture of him and his rumoured girlfriend Angel Chu attending a birthday party together was posted earlier on social media, Shawn denied the reports and promised that he’d surely go public if he was in love.
