What a difference a year makes. Last August, Hallyu sensation EXO swept Singapore by storm and together with them was Chinese member Tao. A little over a year later, he made his return to Singapore to celebrate the opening of Moncler at ION Orchard – but this time as Z.TAO, a Chinese soloist who has a mini-album and an upcoming leading role in a Jackie Chan film, Railroad Tigers under his belt. MediaCorp artistes Rui En, Jesseca Liu, Nat Ho, Sora Ma and Shane Pow were also present to add on the star power to the event.

Much has been said about the 22-year-old, who has made the headlines for a slew of reasons – some bad and some good. Speaking to the media during a doorstop interview at the event yesterday (Nov 5), he clarified that he now thinks happiness is the most important factor for him.

“When I decide on a project, I don’t take into consideration how much money they’re going to pay me; neither do I take into account how popular it is – what’s important to me is whether going through with it is meaningful and if it’ll make me happy and leave good memories for me,” he shared.
