Celeb friends sing birthday song for Shone An at columbarium

Late actor would have turned 31 on Sunday

Taiwanese artistes Ady An, Joe Chen, Hsia Yu-chiao, Esther Liu headed to Tainan, Taiwan, to sing “Happy Birthday” before Shone An’s spot at the columbarium on what would have been the late pop star’s 31st birthday.

“We used to celebrate birthdays together, and I miss him so much,” a devastated Ady said.

“Shone once said he would marry me if I was still single when I turned 35. I’ll be 35 in a week, so maybe he knew it wasn’t going to happen and he left this world ahead of time.”

She added that she had thought about skipping her 35th birthday celebrations. “But if I don’t spend the day as I did past birthdays, Shone would know I wasn’t doing well and I don’t want him to worry about me,” she said.

Ady was reportedly so distraught over Shone’s passing that she couldn’t bring herself to attend his cremation.

The pop star was a member of Taiwanese boyband Comic Boyz. He passed away from liver cancer on June 1.
