A mysterious mark was spotted on Elaine Ng’s hand when the former Hong Kong beauty queen made her guest appearance at a metaphysic TV show yesterday.
After the show, Elaine clarified that the “scar” was indeed a tattoo made by herself using Henna paste because Etta expressed an interest in tattoos recently. The mother also made a shocking admission that she once tried to cut herself for the sake of her daughter, hoping to go through the same experience as Etta.
“I cut myself once using a plastic cake knife to experience the feeling of cutting oneself. It really hurts,” she explained, saying that it’s her way of being part of her child’s life by trying the things that her daughter like and did.
When asked if she has spoken to Etta about the latter’s self-mutilation acts, Elaine said she had a discussion with the school instead of talking to her daughter. “This is my first time as a mother and I have never experienced a rebellious phase. I’m trying my best to work with the school now. This is part and parcel of adolescence…”
Elaine also revealed that Etta was in a bad mood on the day she did the self-harming act.
“Little kids have their own worlds. They tend to express and vent [their frustrations] in a different way. Etta is in the rebellious phase and she knows what she did is wrong,” she added.
So did she cut herself because of Etta’s self-mutilation acts?
Elaine agreed to it at first but hurriedly dropped the subject by sharing about her “tattoo” experience when pressed by reporters on Etta’s self-harming behavior.
