Though they never admitted to dating, Hong Kong celebrity couple Him Law and Tavia Yeung are reportedly engaged and will tie the knot next year.
According to Hong Kong media yesterday, Him proposed to Tavia in August and the couple will wed next August.
Although the two, who met while filming drama The Hippocratic Crush, have been dating for three years, many felt their May-December romance would not last. But that did not stop Him from popping the question.
Sources revealed that he had reportedly shared during an event in August in Malaysia, “I just celebrated my birthday on the 28th [of August], my friend’s [Tavia] birthday is on the 30th. Let’s all give her our well-wishes.”
Thereafter, the actor celebrated her birthday after returning to Hong Kong and made it even more special when he proposed with flowers and a ring.
An insider disclosed, “Him told Tavia he understands her independent personality and promised to work hard. He asked for a chance to take care of her and she agreed, shedding tears of joy.”
The 30-year-old, who bagged My Favourite TVB Supporting Actor award at the StarHub TVB Awards 2014 in Singapore last month, has reportedly been taking up more job offers to save up for his wedding.
“I have many older family members to take care of so it is right that I should earn more, but I am also saving up for my wedding,” he said.
