Action star Jackie Chan has denied that filming for his upcoming film project, Kung Fu Yoga, has been postponed due to a withdrawal of funding.

“No matter who pulls out, it won’t matter,” he said. “There are many companies eager to collaborate on this film.”

The movie’s partners in India have reportedly backed out of the project. According to insiders, filming in Dubai was scheduled to finish in November, after which the crew will move on to mainland China and India to continue filming. Stanley Tong is the director and Kung Fu Yoga will hit theatres in 2016.

To debunk the rumours, Jackie took to social media and posted photos of him on set in Dubai.

Representatives for Kung Fu Yoga also explained that the bulk of the film’s funds comes from China, even though they are in negotiations with the film partners from India.
