Joey Yung visits doctor five times in a month

The Hong Kong singer allegedly forgot the lyrics to her song due to medication which caused drowsiness

On Saturday, Hong Kong songbird Joey Yung attended the Global Chinese Music Awards in Guangzhou, where she received several major awards including “Most Popular Album of the Year” and “Most Popular Female Singer”.

However, Joey abruptly stopped her performance, after singing just two lines from her award-winning track ‘Little Day’, to look at the lyrics again. The 34-year-old then explained that she has been taking “too much medicine” these days which caused her memory to become very poor.

While speaking to reporters, Joey added that she has visited the doctor five times in the past month. “Maybe the doctor’s prescription is too heavy tonight, I feel very drowsy and can’t remember anything when I went on stage,” the singer said.

When asked if she would be spending Christmas with her boyfriend, Hong Kong singer-actor Wilfred Lau, Joey replied with a laugh: “I should be working in the United States on that day.”
