Having turned 40 last Saturday (Nov 29), Taiwanese model-actress Lin Chi-ling shared her thoughts that “life is good at every stage”. While she had previously revealed her intention to retire in three years, the well-maintained celebrity extended it to five as she announced her latest decision on Monday (Dec 1) at the Longines Japan Cup 2014.
While many attributed it to potential marriage plans, Chi-ling clarified, “It is because I am given many unexpected opportunities at work, when it’s time to retire later, I will. There is always be another exciting phase in life [after this].”
She hopes to do her best in her career, but not for the sake of awards and box office results, further adding that she will not quit showbiz to start a family.
Turning a year older, Chi-ling feels ageing is inevitable and “what I can do is to keep my mindset youthful. Women nowadays should tweak their mentality [towards ageing]. I feel happier than before and I’m proud to be a woman”.
