Taiwanese-British actor Rhydian Vaughan, 27, announced the birth of his son via Facebook early this morning, and he posted a photo of the newborn’s footprint.
“I’d lived a simple and regular life the past 10 months during my other half’s pregnancy,” he wrote. “We waited patiently for the little old man to be born.”
“I’ve been told that once you become a father your heart will grow old,” he added. “But I’m willing to let him (his son) conquer the arrogant, wilful me.”
The actor ended his announcement with a prayer for civilians displaced by war and people blinded by greed. “Not everyone is able to welcome a new life in a peaceful environment as I did,” he wrote.
Rhydian announced last July that he was expecting his first child with his girlfriend, surfer Jessie Hong.
His latest role was in the 2015 Chinese–Hong Kong crime thriller The Vanished Murderer.
