(Taipei February 20, 2016) Eli Shih, Bryant Li, director Tianlun Yeh and artist Lifa Shaih attended the special preview of their TV play "Purple Dadaocheng" (unofficial translation) today. Specialized in making sweets, Eli played the son of a teashop owner in 1930s but chatted about paintings with Lifa during the preview. Eli recalled that it took almost half a year to film in Taipei, Japan and America. In the drastic change of weather from the scorching summer to chilly snow, his health suffered from an injury in his hips, skin allergy and asthma. He once resorted to steroid treatment that made his shape varied and his costumes needed to modify frequently. However, Eli thought the suffering was worthy and claimed that he would be nominated for the Golden Bell Award this year. He believed himself in winning for this play and reaching a new career peak.
