WIN tickets to Pangdemonium’s Circle Mirror Transformation

After the decidedly darker Frozen, Pangdemonium is kicking off 2015 with Circle Mirror Transformation, a hilarious and heart-warming production by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Annie Baker.

Starring theatre veterans Adrian Pang, Daniel Jenkins and Neo Swee Lin, as well as FLY Entertainment multi-hyphenate Nikki Muller and School of the Arts graduate Selma Alkaff (who is making her professional debut), the play revolves around an eclectic ensemble of characters – from a moody teen to a disillusioned actress – in an acting class together.

In Circle Mirror Transformation, viewers will be treated to a glimpse of all the strange activities that happen in drama school, as the characters are made to play bizarre games as part of their lessons. But as they progress, the theatre training fun blurs into their private lives: role-play becomes personal, secrets are revealed, hearts are broken, and lives are changed.

“The play’s theme of change and new beginnings kick-starts our 2015 Season perfectly, as it mirrors every individual's inherent need for ‘rebirth’, ‘re-invention’ and ‘renewal’ as we start the year,” said Pangdemonium Artistic Directors Adrian and Tracie Pang.

“SG50 or not, Circle Mirror Transformation is a great way to start 2015 - with lots of laughs, and even a couple of tears, and a timely reminder that we’re all, as individuals and as a community, trying to make sense of this world, and make the best of this life.”

Circle Mirror Transformation is showing from 29 January to 15 February at DBS Arts Centre. Tickets are priced at $30 and $40 for the preview shows on 29 and 30 January, and from $40 to $55 for other shows (prices exclude booking fee), and are available on SISTIC.
