BTS’s Jungkook has temporarily halted group promotions as of yesterday (May 11), after label Big Hit Entertainment confirmed that he was sent to the hospital for a high fever and flu.
They recently released compilation album The Most Beautiful Moment in Life: Young Forever, and have performances and fan signs, among other activities, scheduled for the coming days. In addition, they will be embarking on a concert tour, further adding to their hectic schedules.
Fans have taken to social media to show their concern and support for BTS and Jungkook, musing that their unforgiving schedule could have affected his health. They have sent numerous messages hoping for his swift recovery and for his fellow members to take care of themselves in the meantime.
BTS will promote as a six-member group until Jungkook recovers.
UPDATE (11.20am): Big Hit has announced that Jungkook will return to promoting with the group as of today (May 12), sharing that he was initially misdiagnosed with influenza but has since received an accurate diagnosis that is far less serious.
Reassuring fans that he has since recovered, he will join BTS for promotions, including the group’s comeback stages on music programmes.
