Recruitment for mega K-Pop project Boys24 has begun.

CJ E&M′s Music Business Unit announced on January 8 that it has joined hands with Liveworks Company, the agency which currently houses Shinhwa′s Shin Hye Sung and Lee Min Woo, to co-produce Boys24, a 25 billion won mega K-Pop project.

Those who wish to audition for Boys24 can apply through Mnet.com′s recruitment page beginning today, January 18, through February 19.

After selecting the category you wish to apply for - vocal, rap, dance, etc. - particpants can upload a video showcasing their special talents.Following two rounds of auditions, the applicants who pass will receive professional training and various missions before the final 24 are selected to receive rigorous dance and vocal training as well as foreign language lessons.

The 24 male idol hopefuls will then present live shows every day for an entire year, similar to the daily showings of Broadway performances, at the Mesa Building Popcorn Hall in Myeongdong beginning in August, as a new kind of K-Pop show project to attract more tourists and to lead a new hallyu culture.

Not only that, from the selection process to the training and performance preparations, viewers will be invited along for the ride through broadcasts.
