Baekhyun is set to follow in the footsteps of fellow EXO member D.O to make his big screen debut. His label, S.M. Entertainment, confirmed that he has received a casting offer for action-thriller Dokgo, which revolves around school violence and that he is currently considering the project in a positive light.

Dokgo’s protagonist tries to bring down a gang in retaliation after his older twin brother became a victim of school violence. Baekhyun’s proposed role is that of a gang member who has great fighting skills and tries to break away from the triad.

While the members are currently starring in their own web-drama, EXO Next Door, the 22-year-old has yet to take on any formal projects and has yet to make his official acting debut. On the other hand, D.O has received much praise for his acting chops in both dramas and movies.

The idol, who is currently dating Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon, played the lead role in the Korean adaptation of the musical Singin’ in The Rain, a character that was also played by Super Junior’s Kyuhyun and SHINee’s Onew during the show’s run.
