f(x)′s ′4 Walls′ Tops Billboard′s World Albums Chart
F(x) is ranked number one on the Billboard World Albums chart.
F(x)′s 4 Walls, which was released worldwide via iTunes on October 27, has taken over the top spot on Billboard′s World Albums chart in the U.S. Billboard even published an album review, titled ′f(x) Doesn′t Miss a Beat on ′4 Walls′: Album Review′on November 2 in its K-Pop column K-TOWN.Billboard wrote, "Throughout the 10-track set, each lady steps up more than ever," before adding "The quartet also rock the house genre on 4 Walls standout Rude Love with its repetitive-yet-addictively-lush chorus" and "Meanwhile, X has a ′90s feel to it with the touches of disco and R&B, as the gorgeous When I′m Alone...is a synth-pop gem."
It concluded by stating, "But 4 Walls proves that f(x) is still wholly capable of creating yet another great full-length album -- a rarity in K-pop to do once -- by finding the right sonicscapes and having each member step up her artistic game."
F(x) is the seventh SM Entertainment artist to top Billboard′s World Albums chart this year, following Jonghyun′s Base in January, EXO′s Exodus in April, SHINee′s Odd in May, Girls′ Generation′s Lion Heart in August, Red Velvet′s The Red in September and Taeyeon′s I in October, once again demonstrating SM′s global power.
4 Walls also topped the Gaon Chart in the albums category for the fourth week of October, and lead single 4 Walls ranked number one on the weekly downloads chart.
The music video for 4 Walls also rose to number on on the YouTube K-Pop channel′s K-Pop Music Video Chart Top 20 for the week of October 26 - November 1.Meanwhile, f(x) will perform 4 Walls on Mnet′s M COUNTDOWN on November 5, KBS′ Music Bank on November 6, and take the stage with 4 Walls and Diamond on MBC′s Music Core on November 7 and SBS′ Inkigayo on November 8.
