Girl’s Day’s Minah officially joined the ever-growing list of idol group members that have launched solo careers with her new song, ‘I Am a Woman Too’.
Confirmation of the lead vocalist’s solo debut came earlier this month and she is the first of her group to go solo, five years after Girl’s Day’s debut. The 21-year-old's album contained photos showcasing various sides of the singer: cute, cheerful, serious and sexy.
Following the current trend of promoting on the streets, Minah held her solo debut showcase in front of the Myeongdong Theatre, drawing large crowds of fans and curious onlookers. Another artiste that will be using this same method to commemorate their debut is Cube Entertainment’s new girl group, CLC.
Girl’s Day last released ‘I Miss You’ last October and has pledged to have a group comeback in the first half of this year.
The group, made up of Sojin, Minah, Yura and Hyeri, debuted in 2010 but only achieved mainstream popularity in 2013 with the release of ‘Expectation’. They have since been on the climb to become one of the biggest female groups in Korea.
