Jessica Denies Solo Debut, Will Focus on Fashion Brand
Jessica, who recently part ways with SM Entertainment, denied she′s debuting as a solo singer.
Jessica′s departure from SM was announced on August 6. The former Girls′ Generation (SNSD) member announced the news through her legal representative. Since the announcement of Jessica′s departure from SM, there were reports that Jessica was debuting as a solo singer. The reports stated that Jessica is going to make her solo debut in China and that she recently finished recording her new song.
Jessica′s legal representative stated, "The reports that Jessica finished recording an album are not true. She has no plans for a solo album yet. She visited her friend′s studio, but it′s not an album.
Jessica withdrew from SNSD last September. She has been active as a designer since launching fashion brand Blanc & Eclare. Jessica plans to focus on Blanc & Eclare for the time being.
Meanwhile, Jessica stated, "After discussion with SM Entertainment, our contractual relationship has been terminated, and we′ve officially decided to go our separate ways. I will cherish my time with SM Entertainment, and I wish SM Entertainment the best of luck in the future."
She continued, "To all my precious fans, I am always thankful for your unwavering support and love. I will do my best to show you what you expect of me, so I will be grateful if you keep your eye on my new beginning."
SM Entertainment stated, "After discussing with Jessica, who has been with SM Entertainment as an artist, we′ve decided to go our separate ways to promote each other′s growth. Please support Jessica as she embarks on a new beginning."
