If you’re a K-drama fan, you would probably have heard of K.Will – literally – even if you aren’t familiar with his name. The singer-songwriter has lent his voice to numerous drama soundtracks, including Pinocchio (Lee Jong Suk & Park Shin Hye), My Love from the Star (Kim Soo Hyun & Jun Ji Hyun) and The Greatest Love (Cha Seung Won & Gong Hyo Jin).

More than just a staple on K-drama OSTs, K. Will has also released numerous studio albums, mini albums and singles of his own. One of his most notable tracks, ‘Love Blossom’, has even become a representative song for spring – a phenomenon that sees listeners enjoy a particular tune year after year at the turn of the season. Another representative spring song is Busker Busker’s ‘Cherry Blossom Ending’.

Despite this 10th year since debut, the 33-year-old has yet to serenade our little red dot – something that he is set to change this month. As one of the headlining acts for the inaugural Korean Drama OST Night, which will also see Baek Ji Young (arguably the top Korean female vocalist) croon some of her much-loved drama soundtracks.

Korean Drama OST Night details:
Date: April 22 (Wed)
Time: 8pm
Venue: The Star Theatre
Tickets are now available on SISTIC.

Which comment received from a cast member of a drama in which you sang a soundtrack for affected you the most?

I don’t really get the chance to meet with the actors. I once did a soundtrack in the drama OB-GYN and I bumped into Song Joong Ki, who starred in the drama, by chance at a broadcasting station. He mentioned that all the actors and actresses that starred in the drama were fans of my soundtrack. That comment really made my day.

Do you enjoy watching dramas? Which was the last drama that caught your attention?

When I start on a drama I get drawn into it and I cannot stop. Recently, I haven’t been able to watch any of the dramas because I was busy with my radio show. The dramas that I enjoyed are A Gentleman’s Dignity and The Heirs. Of course there’s much more. The most recent drama I watched was Secret Love Affair but I did not get a chance to finish it yet. When I get a chance I am definitely going to finish it.
