Former EXO member Luhan has been reported to be starring in a Chinese film alongside one of China’s most popular actresses, Yang Mi. The film is a remake of the 2011 Korean movie Blind, which starred Kim Ha Neul and Yoo Seung Ho.

Blind won the Best Screenplay award at the highly-decorated Grand Bell Awards and also scored Kim Ha Neul two Best Actress awards at the Grand Bell and Blue Dragon Film Awards.

The plot revolves around the female lead that is rendered blind after a car accident, effectively putting a stop to her promising career as a police officer. The male lead serves as the second witness to the accident and works hand-in-hand with the female lead to track down the culprit.

The Chinese remake, which has a translated title of I am a Witness, is said to be still looking for a suitable director to helm the film. Yang Mi has been rising in popularity after starring in Chinese drama Palace in 2011 and more recently playing the lead character Lin Xiao in the Tiny Times franchise.

This announcement came after S.M Entertainment declared that it would take strong legal action against parties that engage Wu Yi Fan or Luhan in any commercial activities, deeming their involvement in any projects illegal.

I am a Witness is slated to start filming in March.
