Korean prosecutor drama Pride & Prejudice premiered this week to much fanfare, emerging as the top of its time slot at 11.2% viewership ratings. It edged out dramas Cantabile Tomorrow (6.7%) and Secret Door (4.0%).

The drama stars Choi Jin-hyuk as Gu Dong Chi, the brilliant student that passed the bar when he was fresh out of high school and joined a of the team of district attorneys fighting for justice in a corrupt society. Adding to the lineup is Baek Jin-hee as Han Yeol Moo, Choi Min-soo as Moon Hee Man and Lee Tae-hwan as Kang Soo.

Pride & Prejudice started with mysterious cases right off the bat, with the first involving a young pregnant woman suffering a miscarriage after being shocked by a flasher. The romance element also came into play when it was revealed that the two leads have a complicated past together.

Choi Jin-hyuk headlined hit drama Emergency Couple earlier this year and was also part of the cast of Gu Family Book (Lee Seung Gi, Suzy) and The Heirs (Lee Min Ho, Park Shin Hye).
