Shinhwa’s Shin Hye Sung and Lee Min Woo have been selected as leaders for Mnet unit survival program BOYS24.

On May 12, agency Liveworks Company stated, “Shin Hye Sung and Lee Min Woo have joined ‘BOYS24’ as leaders,” and, “they plan to share their experiences and tips to the 49 male trainees who fought against 220 to 1 odds.”BOYS24 is a survival program where final winners will be selected through unit challenges in each episode. The 24 selected winners will have the chance to perform LIVE on stage for 365 days in a span of 1 year. As the program focuses on teamwork, Shin Hye Sung and Lee Min Woo, who have been apart of Shinhwa for the last 18 years, seemed fitting as the role of the leader.

Liveworks Company stated, “It is not an exaggeration to say that teamwork was the main reason that Shinhwa was able to gain popularity for 18 years without changing members. That is why trainees will gain strength and it will mean a lot to them that Shin Hye Sung and Lee Min Woo will work as leaders for the project that focuses on teamwork within a unit. Please see how the two work as leaders.”

Meanwhile, the first episode of BOYS24 will air on Mnet and tvN on June 18.
