Gen Neo made his official Korean debut today (April 6) with his single, ‘Think About Us’. The Singaporean musician has spent years in Korea working behind the scenes, in particular with producing team NOIZEBANK, which is made up of Gen, Neil Nallas and Super Junior-M’s Henry.

Having worked with some of the industry’s biggest names – including veteran band g.o.d and Super Junior-M and f(x) after graduating from the Berklee College of Music, Gen is no stranger to the Korean music scene. In previous interviews, he revealed that he was invited by his then-classmate Henry to join him in South Korea and he has been largely based there ever since his graduation.

He teased about his debut on April 1, sparking questions of the authenticity of his post but confirmed on April 2 on his social media channels that he would indeed be making his official debut. Gen further revealed today that an English version of the R&B song was written almost four years ago.

Gen is the first Singaporean solo artiste to debut in Korea – the only others who have done so are SKarf’s Ferlyn and Tasha. Ferlyn has since left SKarf and made her solo debut this year.

‘Think About Us’ is currently only available as a digital release.
