Super Junior′s Yesung to Making Acting Debut in Drama ′Drill′
Super Junior′s Yesung will try his hand at acting through JTBC mini series Drill.
JTBC′s Drill, which is based on a webtoon of the same name, is centered on an incident that takes place at a supermarket and the employees it involves.Yesung will play Hwang Jun Cheol, an employee in the seafood department at Pureumi Mart, where the drama is set. Ji Hyun Woo, Hyun Woo and Park Si Hwan will star alongside him as Pureumi Mart employees.
Yesung said of his first attempt at acting through Drill, "Although it′s my first time acting, it′s an honor to be a part of a project based on a really good webtoon. I was really nervous before the first shoot, but the atmosphere on set is so good, I am enjoying each day of filming. I want to show a story that everyone can relate to through ′Hwang Jun Cheol,′ a character you don′t comes across often. I am trying my best, so I ask for your support."
Meanwhile, Drill will be directed by Kim Seok Yun, who directed KBS′ Old Miss Diary, JTBC′s I Live in Cheongdam-dong and film Detective K, and written by Lee Nam Gyu.
Viewers will be able to see Yesung′s new beginning as an actor through JTBC′s Drill when it airs sometime in October.
