It seems like solo debuts are all the rage with music giant S.M. Entertainment, with Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon and f(x)’s Amber confirming that they will be the first of their respective groups to go solo.
They will join SHINee’s Jonghyun and Taemin, Super Junior’s Kyuhyun and Super Junior-M’s Zhoumi and Henry, all of whom released their solo efforts within the past year.
While further details on the two’s albums have been kept tightly under wraps, the good news is that Amber’s is slated to drop next month, with teasers and concept photos soon to be released.
BrandNew Music’s Rhymer updated his personal Instagram account with a photo of him and Taeyeon in a recording studio, sparking speculation that the two would be collaborating on one or more tracks for her album. The photo was later deleted.
Amber’s album is expected to be released in the second week of February, while Taeyeon’s is scheduled to be unveiled in the first half of 2015.
