Korean entertainment agency Woollim Entertainment has confirmed that they will debut their first girl group in early November. While they have yet to release the band’s name, they have confirmed that there will be eight members in the final lineup.

A label representative stated that singer-songwriter Yoon Sang will be taking charge of production of their debut release. He has previously composed for BoA (‘The Show Must Go On’, ‘Maybe…  Maybe Not?’), IU (‘The Story That Only I Didn’t Know About) and Ga In (‘Irreversible’, ‘Truth’) from Brown Eyed Girls.

Among the members will be Lee Mi Joo, who starred in label-mate INFINITE’s music video, ‘Last Romeo’. Also joining her will be Baby Soul, who released a solo digital single titled ‘Stranger’ in 2011 and featured on INFINITE’s song, ‘Crying’ from their first studio album, Over the Top.

Yoo Ji Ae, who made her first appearance with INFINITE on their pre-debut reality show, You’re My Oppa, will also be in the group. The final confirmed member is Jin, who released the music video of ‘Gone’ which starred EXO’s Xiumin and Kim Yoo Jung.

Woollim Entertainment merged with S.M. Entertainment C&C, a subsidiary of the entertainment giant, to form Woollim Label last year.
