YG Entertainment is set to debut their cosmetics brand Moonshot this month. The launch party, titled Moon Tanning Party, will be held tonight (October 2) in Seoul.

The festivities will be attended by its founder, Yang Hyun Suk, together with brand model Lee Sung Kyung and YG artistes such as actor Cha Seung Won and model Choi So Ra. Epik High will also be performing at the event.

The brand will house  more than 200 items and is scheduled to be made available online and in brick-and-mortar shops in the middle of the month. YG also launched its fashion brand, NONA9ON, earlier this year.

Last month, YG joined hands with L Capital Asia, LVMH’s private equity fund, that has made the latter the second largest investor in the company with a 11.5% stake. Brands under the firm include French luxury brand Louis Vuitton and Charles & Keith.

At the event, Yang Min Suk, YG’s CEO, shared, “While YG is expanding its business into different areas such as fashion, the core of our company remains as music. By exploring different industries, we will be better geared to create more synergy between our units to best provide an experience for our fans around the world.”
