JYJ’s Yoochun and miss A’s Suzy will potentially play reel-life lovers on SBS’s new drama, loosely translated as The Girl Who Sees Smell.
Representatives from both idols’ respective agencies have confirmed the reports, saying that they are currently looking through the scripts and have yet to make final decisions on the project.
The drama is helmed by writer Lee Hee Myung, who also was behind 2012 fantasy-romcom Rooftop Prince, which also starred Yoochun. The writer is also behind the webtoon series of the same title.
The story is said to be of an insensible man who lost his younger sister in an accident – the same one in which the female lead survived and gained the special ability of seeing smell from.
Yoochun’s last drama was action-thriller Three Days alongside Son Hyun Joo and Suzy’s last drama was fantasy-historical Gu Family Book alongside Lee Seung Gi. Both dramas were aired in 2013.
Suzy previously declared that she will put her miss A first in the coming year. The quartet has yet to release new material since Hush in November 2013.
The Girl Who Sees Smell is slated to begin filming in March and in April after the conclusion of Hyde, Jekyll, Me, which stars Hyun Bin and will air its pilot episode tomorrow (Jan 21).
