We Got Married

The concept of putting two strangers together and getting them to start on married life may sound absurd – but it makes for good television.

Way back in 2008, the original couples Alex & Shin Ae, Crown J & Seo In Young, Andy & Solbi and Jeong Hyung don & Saori left viewers wanting for more – and the show delivered.

Later spawning crowd favourites such as the Adam Couple (Jo Kwon & Ga In), Sweet Potato Couple (Yonghwa & Seohyun) and the Khuntoria Couple (Nichkhun & Victoria) the show’s current hot couple is made up of actors Song Jae Rim and Kim So Eun.

Who knows, watching these reel-life couple do the sweetest things might just get you in the mood for some romance in your life.

Superman is Back/Dad! Where Are We Going?

These two shows use a similar premise – putting celebrity fathers alone with their children and leaving them to fend for themselves. These shows have given rise to a following for the children, who are often too cute for words.

Some of the popular little ones on the show are Choo Sarang, twins Lee Seo Eon & Seo Jun and Song Il Guk’s newly-added triplets, Dae Han, Min Guk and Man Se (their names, when put together, means Republic of Korea, Hurray!).

The popularity of these shows have even seen overseas spinoffs of these titles, including China’s version of Dad! Where Are We Going?
