'Fifty Shades of Grey' has sparked an increase in raunchy holiday requests.

The new film - based upon the novel by E.L James and starring Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan - is said to have caused more and more couples to make erotic enquiries when checking in to hotels.

As well as sparking a 233% increase in bookings for cheap short holidays for two, the movie is also said to have caused couples to make 'raunchy requests' ahead of or during their mini breaks.

According to Teletext Holidays, the top 10 unusual requests include Hotel beds with posts, rooms with multiple mirrors, sound-proofed rooms, if cameras could be hired and whether chocolate sauce is available on room service.

They also asked if handcuffs were allowed in hand luggage, if there was a charge for cleaning candle wax from hotel linen, whether aphrodisiac foods would be served, if rooms had black-out drapes and if silk bed sheets were available.
