Amber Heard "excites" Johnny Depp "on every level".

The 'Magic Mike XXL' beauty - who tied the knot with the 51-year-old actor last week and then married him again last weekend - has "changed his life" for the better because they are on the same wave-length.

A friend close to the actor said: "Amber has been the biggest romantic challenge for Johnny. Her presence has changed his life. She is not needy, and he likes that."

Another pal said she also challenges the star, telling PEOPLE magazine: "Amber excites Johnny on every level. She's active, talented and full of life. He is madly in love."

The couple, who exchanged vows under a flower-adorned marquee on the beach of the 'Mortdecai' star's private island Little Hall's Pond Cay in the Bahamas last Sunday (08.02.15), enjoyed a week of festivities after they legally tied the knot on February 3.

The newlyweds jetted off to the Bahamas with the guests, including 28-year-old beauty's sister, Whitney, and parents, Paige and David, as well as Johnny's children, Jack, 12, and Lily-Rose, 15, shortly after their civil ceremony at their home in Los Angeles.

An insider said: "Guests relaxed on beaches, had fun snorkelling and enjoyed food cooked by private chefs. Everyone seemed to have the best time. It was a very celebratory vibe."

They capped off their special week with an intimate sunset ceremony, and guests burst into cheers when Amber, who stunned in a traditional long-sleeved wedding dress and floor-length veil, and Johnny were pronounced husband and wife.

The source said: "The weather was perfect, and the beach setting was gorgeous. It was very romantic."
