Sir Elton John's husband David Furnish has reportedly bought a London flat for a long-time male friend.
David met Danny Williams, 33, on a night out clubbing in the city and their friendship has led the 52-year-old star to splash out in excess of £330,000 on a two-bedroom property in South London.
Reflecting on the state of their friendship, a source said: "Furnish and Danny were close and went out a lot on the gay scene.
"Elton would not be there as he does not like clubbing and was often away touring and working.
"Furnish and Danny had a great time on holidays as well as in London. Danny is extremely handsome and muscular and gets a lot of attention from blokes on nights out.
"He ended up in a lovely flat which David sorted for him, as well as having some great trips abroad.
"I don't think that someone who works as a trainer in a gym would normally fly to Hawaii first-class."
What's more, David went to great lengths to ensure the flat was to the liking of Danny, who still lives there.
A source told The Sun on Sunday newspaper: "David made sure everything was taken care of and knew all about the detail of the flat which was arranged for Danny.
"He knew it was for Danny, and even that he had kids who would be coming to stay occasionally.
"It is an odd place for David to buy somewhere, considering where he usually spends his time."
