A four-year-old girl snacks on carpet, cement and sand.
Jessica Knight suffers from an eating disorder named pica which causes her to develop an appetite for unusual substances and her mother Kelly has revealed doctors refuse to help her until turns six-years-old.
She told the Daily Star newspaper: "Doctors said she likes it because she likes the texture. But it's always confused me because sponge, stones and sand all have completely different textures ... She hides cement stones and sand in her pocket and eats it discreetly because she knows it's not normal."
The concerned mum added: "We've been told they can't help her until she is six and has reached the appropriate cognitive development."
