Kate Hudson loves that Nick Jonas "is younger" than her.
The 36-year-old actress, who recently enjoyed a number of low-key dates with the 23-year-old singer, reportedly sees the 'Chains' hitmaker as nothing more than a "fun hookup" and isn't concerned about their 13 year age difference.
A source close to the 'Almost Famous' star, who has sons Ryder, 11, with ex-husband Chris Robinson, and Bingham, four, with former fiancé Matt Bellamy, said: "She loves that Nick is younger and that they can let loose.
"She doesn't see it [the age gap]. This is just a fun hookup for her. It's not like she's in love."
The duo, who first met at a party last year when they were both in different relationships, started exchanging "flirty texts" after being "reintroduced" by the blonde beauty's older brother Oliver Hudson, who is co-starring on the new series 'Scream Queens' with Nick, earlier this year, but only "started hooking up" after meeting at New York Fashion Week last month.
Kate also supported Nick when he performed at the music venue Terminal 5 in Manhattan on September 9.
An eyewitness told Us Weekly magazine: "Kate was dancing to all of Nick's songs. She was cheering, and when Nick performed 'Jealous,' she sang all the words. Kate only took her eyes off Nick to chat with her friend."
