Kelly Osbourne and Kathy Griffin quit 'Fashion Police' to preserve Joan Rivers' legacy.

The 30-year-old star and the 54-year-old television personality have both left their roles on the E! show in recent weeks because they reportedly felt they had to in order to respect the memory of the late Joan.

A source said: "Kathy and Kelly both felt like Joan would not have wanted the show to go on like this.

"A lot of people think E! should just let Joan's chair be her chair forever and pull the plug on the show while they are ahead."

The insider also claimed the programme is a "sinking ship" after the weeks of scandals, which began when Giuliana Rancic made "outrageously offensive" comments about Zendaya Coleman's dreadlocks.

They shared: "Everyone just feels like 'Fashion Police' is a sinking ship and Giuliana Rancic is the anchor!

"It is not a coincidence that all of the women who work with Giuliana quit."

And whilst Kelly and Kathy have both departed the programme, the pair remain close and will stay in contact for a long time to come.

The source added to "Kelly did have her issues with Kathy, just as she did with Joan. But at the end of the day they are almost like family.

"They were friends long before the show because Kathy is close to the entire Osbourne family. They were friends during the show and they will be friends long after."
